“Rajasthan Royals Beats Chennai Super Kings By 07 Wickets !!”

One of the greatest upset of this season. In the match-47 of IPL-2021, everyone thought this to be a one sided affair for Chennai Super Kings, especially after posting a huge score. But super-explosive form of Royals stunned the Super Kings & registered a comprehensive win for the table toppers. Once all over again, we’ve witnessed another upset in the UAE leg. Expect The Unexpected…..seems to be the mantra for season-13 of Indian Premiere League !!

Team Changes: →

Chennai Super Kings: (CSK)

Unlike Chennai Super Kings, for this match men in yellow made couple of changes . This is possibly happened, out of a “work-load management” thought process, nothing else. Dhoni decided to rest two of his marquee bowlers for this match. The all rounder — Dwayne Bravo & speedster — Deepak Chahar been rested. Sam Curran gets another opportunity to showcase his ability & K.Asif — a speedster made his debut for Super Kings in this match.

Rajasthan Royals: (RR)

Royals were expected to make some changes, but they realized this too late. In this match Royals replaced almost half of the team. Royals made five changes to the team — Akash Singh,David Miller,Shivam Dube,Mayank Markande & Glenn Philips. Wow — that’s bold !!

Super Kings Got To A Flyer…..Ruturaj Gaikwad Glitters !!

In such a crucial encounter, Royals won the toss & opted to field first. Super Kings been given an opportunity to post a challenging score on board & buoy, men in yellow were on to the task, from the ball one. Ruturaj Gaikwad- the orange cup holder shown his class & carried on with his explosive form. Super Kings, got to a flyer once again. Royals were hunting for the first break-through but went wick less in the power-play.

Chennai was scoring almost at 08 runs per over & had all their wickets intact. Royals were getting desperate for a wicket & against the run of play, their “one-game wonder” — Rahul Tewatia gives a double-blow to Super Kings.First, Faf Du Plessis(25) was foxed by Tewatia & skipper Samson did all the rest. Soon after, veteran Suresh Raina(3) got OUT off Tewatia !! Royals bounced-back !! Raina’s form is a worry for Super Kings, especially moving ahead into the playoffs. Another failure for Raina.

Now, Moeen Ali & Ruturaj Gaikwad were consolidating the innings- rotating the strike & hit one boundary every over, without taking too much of a risk. Meanwhile, Ruturaj completed his another half-century & was looking dangerous, possibly eyeing his maiden century. Once again, Chennai lost the plot as they lost two quick wickets in the 15th & 17th over of the innings.

By the time, Jadeja joined Gaikwad & both the batsmen took the bowlers to the cleaners. Pink army looked tense & clueless, especially against “Ravindra Jadeja”. Towards the end of innings,Jadeja scored at a staggering strike rate of 211 & Ruturaj Gaikwad scored his maiden T20 century on the last ball of the innings & remain unbeaten on 101*. Take a Bow Ruturaj !! What a Player — A genuine future prospect !!

With the key contributions of Ravindra Jadeja (32*) & Ruturaj Gaikwad(101*), Super Kings put up a huge score of 189 runs on the board. Really a challenging score for Royals. CSK — 189/4 (20.0 Overs)

Royals Super Explosive Counter Attack……Stunned Super Kings !!

At the halfway stage, Super Kings camp must be a happier one. But, men in yellow had no idea about what was coming next. Evin Lewis & Yashasvi Jaiswal, blown the Chennai’s bowling attack. Both the openers were playing fearlessly & in attacking mode. Absence of frontline bowlers, made the job of Dhoni more difficult. Royal scored 81 runs in the power-play & lost both the openers. Royals were scoring at 9.0 runs per over. Both the openers scored the runs at a strike rate, in excess of 225.00 !!

Post power-play, Royals got fierce in approach & didn’t allow any bowler to settle down. Now, it was skipper Sanju Samson & their super-striker “Shivam Dube”. Shivam lived upto the expectations &now he took a role of a aggressor & kept hitting the big shots. For the first time, men in yellow looked under pressure. Ball was flying in all corners of the ground. Shivam Dube(64*) & Glenn Philips(18*), after the fall of skipper’s wicket finished the game in the 18th over only. Royals stunned the Super Kings with this comprehensive victory. Emphatic Win For Rajasthan Royals !! RR — 190/3 (17.3 Overs)

Ruturaj’s Century In Vain….Royals Win Impacts Point Table

In the rarest of the events we see, that a centurion finding himself on the loosing side. This young lad has shown his potential & calibre. He is genuinely a promising player for the future. Now, what this win for Royals has done ? It has opened the competition, once all over again. Most importantly, achieving the target of 189 in 18th over (17.3 Overs precisely) has improved the net run rate of Rajasthan Royals & they’re now placed above Mumbai Indians.

The mid section of points table is really getting tight. So, Rajasthan Royals are still in the hunt for playoffs & the Royal encounter against Mumbai Indians, will decide the fate of both the teams in IPL-2021 !!

Final-Verdict: →

This was a must win match for Royals & surprisingly they beat the Super Kings & kept them alive for the contention in playoffs. Well, this will not impact the position of Super Kings much as they’ve already qualified & sitting comfortably at the top of the table. Sam Curran yet again proved very expensive but K.Asif, another speedster impressed a lot with his pace & accuracy. He will be an interesting name,in the upcoming “Mega-Auctions” next year.

Royals emphatic win in this game has created crazy chaos among four teams -Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals & Kolkata Knight Riders. Each match between them, will be a “Eliminator”. One heck of a competition, for one spot in the playoffs. This is — “Incredible Premiere League-2021” !! Wow…
